Dalhousie, Khajjiar and Kufri Tour Itinerary

Day 1
After Breakfast Check out from Hotel. And transfer to your destination Shimla, by road. Fondly referred to as the ‘Queen of Hills’, Shimla is a

very popular hill town of Himachal Pradesh. As you reach, check in at the hotel. After settling into the rooms.

If time permitting you can visit some sightseeing of mall rod and local places.

Shimla is the capital of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan foothills. Once the summer capital of British India,

it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway, completed in 1903. It’s also known for the handicraft shops that line

The Mall, a pedestrian avenue, as well as the Lakkar Bazaar, a market specializing in wooden toys and crafts. It is also a famous holiday

spot for a honeymoon.


Victorian architecture( British structures in Shimla were constructed mainly using two styles. Victorian architecture is a series of

architectural revival styles. which is reflected in certain areas of the Mall and The Ridge.

Day 2
Post breakfast, day 2 is scheduled for an excursion to Kufri, a must-visit place. Placed at an altitude of 2290 m above the sea level, Kufri is

blessed with tranquility, scenery and is dotted with tourist attractions like Mahasu Peak, Chini Bunglow, Indira Tourist Park etc. When back in

Shimla, visit the Vice Regal Lodge- once the summer residence of various British viceroys, it boasts of an interesting English Renaissance

architecture. Thereafter in the evening, enjoy a leisure walk on the Mall Road.



Kufri is famous for its Himalayan National Park, Pony, and Yak Ride and One can see the endless Himalayan Panorama from Kufri.Victorian

Kufri:-

Kufri is a small hill station in the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh state in India. It is located 20 km from the state capital Shimla on National

Highway No.22. The name Kufri is derived from the word Kufri meaning “lake” in the local language.



Naldehra :-

Nestled between the beautiful lofty ranges of the Himalayas, lies the Naldehra hill station. The Naldehra hill resort near Shimla is no less than

a picture-perfect destination. The blue skies, lush green forests, and an occasional rainbow threw in making the place look like it has been

Day 3
After breakfast on the 3rd day, get transferred by road to Manali. En route visit Kullu. Placed at an altitude of 2050 m above the sea level,

Manali is a very popular hill station that is flocked by tourists every year in crazy numbers.

Kullu is a municipal council town that serves as the administrative headquarters of the Kullu district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It

is located on the banks of the Beas River in the Kullu Valley about 10 kilometres north of the airport at Bhuntar

Visit :- Sundernagar Lake, Pandoh dam, Kullu Vally, Kullu Shawl Industry, and Vaishno Devi Temple.

Kullu adventure sports :-

Trekking, River rafting, Mountaineering, Paragliding.

Hiking over the Himalayan glaciers is one of the activities that Kullu offers.

Angling is another activity enjoyed a lot by locals as well as tourists.

Mountaineering beginners can trek around the Beas Kund region.

Day 4
Post breakfast, day 4th get all set for visiting the prime attractions of Manali.

Manali is a high-altitude Himalayan resort town in India’s northern Himachal Pradesh state. It has a reputation as a backpacking center and

honeymoon destination. Set on the Beas River, it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley. It’s also a jumpingoff point for paragliding, rafting and mountaineering in the Pir Panjal mountains, home to 4,000m-high Rohtang Pass.

Hadimba Devi Temple (Hadimba temple” built-in 1553 with a superbly crafted four tiered pagoda roof, it is famous for its exquisitely carved

doorway.)

Manu Temple, Tibetan Monastery, Vashisht Village, An auditorium, Billiards room.

“Clubhouse” is the clubhouse with its comprehensive facilities that include a Roller skating rink.

Lord Rama.

Day 5
Post breakfast, day 5th The day is scheduled for enjoying the sights and experiences at Solang Valley and Rohtang Pass. Solang Valley falls

on the way to Rohtang Pass and is around 14 km from Manali. Along with its beautiful scenery, the place also offers adventure opportunities

like zorbing and para-gliding. The next visit of the day is to Rohtang Pass, covered with snow all round the year, lying at an elevation 3978 m, it

is open from June to October. Enjoy playing with snow here. The day would be filled fun activities and various mesmerizing sights. adventure

sports like Zorbing, Horse Riding, and Snow Motor Bikes riding are also available). Up to Snow Line Rohtang Pass. Rohtang pass depends

upon permit availability on the additional cost of vehicle & permit (Tuesday pass is closed).



Solang Valley Snow point:- Solang Nala (Valley) derives its name from a combination of the words Solang (Nearby village) and Nallah (water

stream). It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to

Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sport conditions. The sports most commonly offered are parachuting Paragliding,

Skating, Zorbing. Giant slopes of lawn comprise Solang Valley and provide its reputation as a popular ski resort.



Rohtang pass :- The pass provides a natural divide between the Kullu Valley with a primarily Hindu culture (in the south), and the arid highaltitude Lahaul and Spiti valleys with a Buddhist culture (in the north). On the southern side of this pass, the Beas River emerges from

underground and flows southward and on its northern side, the Chandra River (flows from the eastern Himalayas), a source stream of the river

Chenab, flows westward.

Day 6
After breakfast check out from the hotel and Travel by surface from Manali to MecLeodganj (Dharamsala). Upon arrival check-in hotel. take

some rest then.

Dharamshala (also spelled Dharamsala) is the winter capital city of Himachal Pradesh, India. It has served as the location for

the administrative headquarters of the Kangra district after they were relocated from Kangra, a city 18 kilometres (11 mi) away from

Dharamshala, in 1855.



The city has been selected as one of the hundred in India to be developed as a smart city under Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s

flagship Smart Cities Mission. On 19 January 2017, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Virbhadra Singh, declared Dharamshala as the

second capital of Himachal Pradesh, making it the third state of India to have two capitals after Maharashtra and the Indian-administered union

territory of Jammu and Kashmir.



Dharamshala is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is

home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. The Thekchen Chöling Temple Complex is a spiritual center for Tibetan

Buddhism, while the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives houses thousands of precious manuscripts.

home to colonial-era buildings, including St. Francis and St. John’s churches, which date back to the rule of the British Raj in the 1800s. A trek

up Dainkund Peak leads to Pholani Devi Temple. To the north, Subhash Baoli is a peaceful area with pine trees and panoramic views.

Dalhousie has a humid subtropical climate. Late summer and early spring see torrential rainfall due to monsoonal influence. The city sees over

90 frost days per year and 20-30 snowy days. The average night temperature during the season is around 4 °C (39 °F), while the maximum is

close to 11 °C (52 °F). Snowfall is quite a common feature here, which adds up to the bitter cold in the town.

the gilded Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) is the holiest gurdwara (religious complex) of the Sikh religion. It’s at the end of a causeway,

surrounded by the sacred Amrit Sarovar tank (lake), where pilgrims bathe.

Amritsar On the city tour wherein you will explore a number of famous destinations like Golden Temple or Swarn Mandir – that is the largest

Gurudwara. Added destinations include Jalianwallah Bagh (a memorial built to commemorate the martyrs of the massacre of 1919 got done by

General Dyer), Durgiana Mandir, Atali Rai Tower, and various other attractions in the city.

Day 10
